Background
Fourteen years in yachting, most of it at sea. I started as a captain, running a range of sailing and motor yachts across the Pacific, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, mostly heavy charter, then moved ashore to manage charter fleets and sell new builds for shipyards before moving into independent open-market brokerage.
That means I look at a yacht the way an owner should, how she was built, how she has been run, what she will cost to keep and what she will be worth when it is time to move on.
Who I Work With
Buyers
Yes, there is a lot for sale right now. That is exactly why you need expert guidance more than ever. More choice means more boats that look right on paper and are wrong in the water.
I take your brief first, scan the whole market including the boats not yet listed, and present the best options judged as an ex-captain and engineer, not as a salesman. Then I run the negotiation, survey, sea trial, VAT, flag and closing with West Nautical’s team behind us.
Sellers
A yacht sells on three things: honest pricing, presentation that reaches the right buyers, and a broker who answers the phone. I will tell you where your boat sits in the market before we list, not after six months of silence.
West Nautical markets internationally from Monaco, Dubai, Newcastle and Cyprus, with professional photography, video and direct outreach to the buyers and brokers who matter for your model.
Owners
Buying is the start. I stay on for what comes next: putting the yacht into charter to offset running costs, setting up the right ownership and commercial structure, crew, maintenance and full yacht management through West Nautical, and planning the exit when the time comes.
